Role Overview
Apply your knowledge of software development to help 3rd Parties build games and gaming systems on IGT’s Front End GDK framework. We are looking for someone who has solid Typescript programming skills and is able communicate effectively with engineers and other disciplines. You will work closely with the current Foundry and Pulse Editor framework teams to help shape and evangelize, new game features and templates as they are released by the team.
What Will You Do:
• Work closely with game developers to help them leverage the Foundry framework to build games
• Work with 3rd Party development partners to support building new components and debug existing components.
• Gather feedback from 3rd Parties on desired components and detail requirements for future development
• Perform hands-on software design and development
• Support and improve game framework updates
• Perform peer design/code reviews
• Provide technical solutions to complex problems and write technical documents
• Promote high quality and timely completion of projects
• Mentor and help grow development partners building games on the GDK
• Work with onsite and remote teams
• Strive for continuous improvement in efficiency
• Design and develop tooling that will drive efficiency in workflows.
About You:
• 5-7 years of software development experience with an emphasis on OOP/OOD development
• Proficient working knowledge of Typescript/Javascript, particularly around creating novel components
• Experience with modern web development utilizing frameworks like React
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting onboarding to new tech
• Working knowledge of Git and distributed version control
• Strong web debugging skills
• Effective written and oral communication in English is must for this role
Nice To Have
• BS / MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• Experience with PixiJS
• Have experience with build tools like Jenkins, Docker and Nexus
• Knowledge of AWS
• Full stack development experience
• Knowledge of MobX or Redux
• Flexibility with work schedule to accommodate a global team
• iGaming Experience
