Responsibilities
IGT is seeking a highly motivated and capable Transportation Specialist III to join our fast-paced transportation department, overseeing the safe and efficient global movement of gaming products. This critical role involves managing domestic and international logistics, utilizing various modes of transport—air, ocean, truck, and parcel—to ensure timely deliveries to customers. The position operates in a dynamic environment, focusing on superior customer satisfaction and handling urgent shipment requests in the Parts Distribution Center while collaborating across departments to meet strict deadlines. As part of a global leader in gaming technology, this role plays a vital part in ensuring IGT continues to deliver quality and reliability to customers around the world.
- Coordinate and process shipments for domestic and international destinations, including returns to IGT Reno.
- Schedule transportation services, allocate drivers, and plan efficient global routes.
- Prepare and process domestic and international transportation documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Process UPS, FedEx, and DHL international and domestic shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Work closely with freight forwarders to track shipments, obtain updates, respond to customs requests, and revise documentation as needed.
- Oversee tracking and delivery timelines for all shipments, prioritizing and handling urgent hot shipment requests for overnight delivery.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure shipments are processed and ready for same-day departure.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in domestic and international transportation, shipping and export documentation and processes.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in logistics software and transportation management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ordering trucks and equipment for pickup and delivery.
- Small-parcel processing.
- Proficient in proactive problem-solving and decision-making in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to pass a security background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Advanced ERP systems (SAP is a plus) knowledge within transportation and logistics.
- Experience mentoring and training junior team members on transportation processes, documentation requirements, and best practices.
- Proven experience leading ad hoc projects related to transportation logistics, process improvements, and operational efficiency initiatives.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $25/hr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
