As a global leader in casino gaming technology, IGT is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Systems Engineer I to support our next-generation Cloud, WAN, and LAN Managed Services. This role is ideal for someone early in their systems engineering career who thrives on solving problems, learning new technologies, and delivering exceptional service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You’ll be part of a 24x7 global support team working on mission-critical infrastructure that powers IGT’s gaming platforms.

  • Interface directly with customers and internal service personnel in a “First Responder” capacity to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform new installations, maintenance, and long-term support for IGT’s gaming systems and software applications.
  • Provide real-time production support using remote connectivity tools while adhering to standardized procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in multiple service-oriented projects involving several major product lines and platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently or escalate appropriately to senior team members.
  • Maintain and support IGT software and infrastructure across multiple platforms within a 24x7 production environment.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of policies and procedures within the Systems Engineering organization.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies relevant to our business and integrate new knowledge into day-to-day problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Systems Engineering, IT Support, QA, or Database Administration.
  • Must be at least 21 years old, with the ability to obtain gaming licenses in all assigned jurisdictions.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to obtain a passport and corporate credit card.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (mostly domestic), work overtime, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Working knowledge of operating systems, troubleshooting, and problem resolution in a technical support environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft technologies, including:
    • Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
    • Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), SAN storage, backup solutions, antivirus software, and network fundamentals.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud).
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, including the ability to recreate and resolve issues in a lab environment.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, able to operate independently in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $44,990/yr - $96,845/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. 

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
