OVERVIEW:

The Security Systems Engineer I is an integral member of the Physical Security team, responsible for maintaining and administering IGT’s global physical security infrastructure. This role supports system integrity, vendor coordination, and infrastructure growth through process improvements and strategic initiatives. The Engineer works closely with senior team members and external vendors to ensure optimal performance of security systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the integrity and security of all physical security system solutions
  • Assists Security Systems Engineer III with managing projects and the installation of new servers, cameras, access control, and burglary alarm equipment in coordination with 3rd party vendors.
  • Configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, etc. in accordance with standard requirements.
  • Recommends physical security technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
  • Evaluate validity of equipment and system maintenance tickets, and complete advance troubleshooting steps for resolution
  • Schedule and coordinate site visits with 3rd party Security vendors for equipment repairs, installations, or semi-annual system PPMs, and verify repairs and installations have been completed in accordance with company standards.
  • Responsible for adherence to corporate departmental policies, procedures and standards (including design and coding standards).
  • Oversee and perform user management activities to include systems user accounts, authentication and group management audits.
  • Manage daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.  
  • Manage and perform system software upgrades including planning / scheduling, testing, and coordination.
  • Provides after hours support as required.
  • Potential to perform additional duties as requested.
  • Oversee other special projects and strategic initiatives that Security & Risk becomes involved with
  • Position requires travel

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

• 1 Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of experience in physical security systems integration including:

• DMP Alarm Systems

• Milestone Camera System

• Hirsch or similar access control systems

• Aiphone Intercoms

• Secure door hardware (keyways)

 

Technical Proficiency:

• Proficient in Windows and all basic Windows applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Windows Server 2016 R2/2019/2022

• Advanced troubleshooting in multi-user, high-pressure environments

• Asset Management

• Change Control Management

• Project Planning/Management of cross-team initiatives

• Vendor Management

That’s why our starting compensation range is $44,990 to $96,845, with room to go higher or lower depending on the full picture.
