IGT is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Game Artist to shape the visual identity of our cutting-edge games. This Artist will be instrumental in driving the artistic vision, from initial concepts to final production, and contributing to the creation of immersive and engaging player experiences. As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, the Artist will combine technical expertise, creative innovation, and industry insights to deliver visually stunning assets, animations, and designs that elevate IGT’s portfolio and set new standards in the gaming industry.

Create and design visual elements, effects, and layouts for electronic games, including logos, symbols, characters, backgrounds, animations, marketing materials, and merchandising assets, adhering to high technical and artistic standards.
Develop and communicate proposed visual elements during the pre-production phase using concept art, AI tools, storyboards, and animatics to establish an inspired and technically sound blueprint for game development.
Prototype, integrate, and iterate on assets directly in Unity, working closely with engineers to ensure your art looks and performs as intended in the live game build.
Build and refine character rigs and animations in Spine, exporting optimized sprite sheets and integrating them into our game engine pipeline.
Solve creative and technical challenges by applying in-depth knowledge of gaming trends, market analysis, and art integration into game mechanics and timing, while collaborating with the Game Producer to execute the game’s vision during production.
Collaborate effectively with Technical Art, Audio, Engineering, and Project Management teams to ensure the integration of technical solutions that align with artistic goals while meeting project deadlines and budgets.
Utilize advanced tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly, and Spine to develop high-quality game assets, animations, and effects, leveraging in-depth game engine experience to enhance production efficiency.
Ensure technical precision in asset creation and implementation, optimizing designs for performance, compatibility, and scalability across gaming platforms.
Drive innovation and learning by investing in personal development and mentoring team members to stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends, fostering growth and delivering on organizational commitments.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • 5 years of work experience; 2 years of related experience is required.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $50,482/yr - $115,000/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. 

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
