About the Role:
We are looking for a Systems Application Manager to lead a cross-functional engineering team in delivering customized solutions built on a multimedia product platform. This role will collaborate closely with product and service managers, QA, and design teams to create innovative and scalable client-facing applications.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can manage a technical team (8+ developers and 2+ testers), understands the software development lifecycle, and can ensure timely, high-quality releases. You will be responsible for driving execution, maintaining development standards, and fostering a collaborative and agile work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers, Developers, Designers, and Service Managers to scope, plan, and deliver tailored technical solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of developers and QA testers in delivering multimedia applications.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (standups, planning, retrospectives) and help the team meet delivery goals.
- Promote good practices in code quality, testing, and deployment using modern development tools and workflows.
- Guide the team in building and maintaining applications, offering direction and support.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues in production and staging environments.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering or managing development teams in an agile environment.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience leading agile teams.
- Familiarity with testing practices and continuous integration/deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with web technologies and application architecture.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or React is a plus.
- Interest or background in the gaming or multimedia space.
- Exposure to cloud platforms or DevOps practices is beneficial but not required.
- Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus.
