Position Overview

IGT is seeking a strategic and technically accomplished Senior Director of Electrical Engineering to lead our global electrical engineering function. This role will oversee the design, development, and delivery of hardware systems across all three business units, ensuring alignment with product strategy, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a multidisciplinary electrical engineering team across iGaming, land-based gaming, and fintech product lines.
Define and execute the electrical engineering strategy, ensuring scalability, reliability, and innovation across hardware platforms.
Collaborate with product, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Oversee the development of embedded systems, power electronics, circuit design, and compliance testing.
Drive standardization and best practices across business units while supporting unique product needs.
Manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships to ensure efficient execution.
Foster a culture of technical excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; PhD is a plus.
12+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience in hardware development for gaming, fintech, or consumer electronics industries.
Strong knowledge of embedded systems, power management, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-product portfolios.
Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience with gaming hardware (e.g., slot machines, kiosks, terminals) and secure financial transaction systems.
Familiarity with global compliance standards (e.g., UL, CE, FCC, PCI).
Background in high-volume manufacturing and supply chain collaboration.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $167,256/yr - $275,000/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
