Overview

The Director of Global Benefits is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive employee benefits programs across all global locations. This strategic leader ensures that benefits offerings are competitive, cost-effective, compliant with local regulations, and aligned with the company’s values and talent strategy. The role partners closely with regional P&C teams, finance, legal, and external vendors to deliver a world-class employee experience.


Role Priorities:

•    Develop and evolve a global benefits strategy that supports business growth and workforce needs.
•    Lead and develop a high-performing benefits team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
•    Align benefits programs with organizational values, employee experience priorities, and funding models including self-insured and fully insured plans.
•    Lead the design, implementation, and administration of health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs across all countries of operation.
•    Ensure consistency in core offerings while adapting to local market and regulatory requirements.
•    Monitor and ensure compliance with international benefits laws and regulations.
•    Partner with legal, finance, and P&C teams to manage audits, reporting, and risk mitigation.
•    Oversee global vendor relationships, including brokers, insurers, and consultants.
•    Manage benefits budgets, cost modeling, and financial forecasting.
•    Drive clear, inclusive, and engaging communication strategies for benefits programs.
•    Lead global open enrollment and change management initiatives.
•    Lead and develop a high-performing global benefits team.
•    Collaborate with regional P&C leaders, Total Rewards, and People Operations teams.


Work Location:

This role is hybrid (2-3 days onsite per week) at our Las Vegas, Nevada office. While it is not remote-eligible, we encourage applicants who currently reside in the Las Vegas metropolitan area or those excited about relocating to apply. 

Requirements

Qualifications: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
•    10+ years of progressive experience in benefits management, with at least 5 years in a global or multinational role.
•    Proven success in designing and managing international benefits programs.
•    Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing global vendors.
•    CEBS, GPHR, or similar certification is a plus.
•    Prior SAP and SuccessFactors Employee Central experience 
•    Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
•    Ability to audit data and recognize data issues and inconsistencies 
•    Strong service orientation and accountability to problem resolution and end user support

•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
•    Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team and matrix structure bringing a sense of urgency to the tasks at hand 
•    Superior attention to detail
•    Work collaboratively with others, creating partnerships with management, colleagues, and the rest of the Human Resources function
•    Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously, while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail
•    Treat highly confidential information with utmost integrity
•    Global benefits regulations and compliance (e.g., GDPR, ACA, COBRA, country-specific mandates).
•    Funding models including self-funded and fully insured health plans.
•    International healthcare, retirement, and wellness trends.
•    HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP) and benefits administration platforms.
•    Strategic planning and execution
•    Financial acumen and budget management
•    Vendor negotiation and contract management
•    Data analysis and reporting
•    Exceptional written and verbal communication




At IGT, we believe compensation should reflect you—your unique background, skills, experience, and even where you work. That’s why our starting compensation range is $106,250 to $250,500, with room to go higher or lower depending on the full picture. We also follow all local pay laws and collective bargaining agreements, so everything’s above board.
