- Utilize animation tools and techniques such as rigging, skinning, and foundational cinematography to create high-quality animations for characters, objects, and environments for EGMs.
- Ensure animations are lifelike and align with creative objectives by focusing on motion, timing, and artistic style, with an emphasis on enhancing the player experience.
- Develop animations specifically tailored for EGM interfaces, including game-specific mechanics, UI elements, and bonus features.
- Collaborate with software engineers and artists to optimize animation performance across various platforms while maintaining visual quality.
- Assist in preparing animation assets for integration into the game engine, ensuring compatibility and real-time rendering performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot animation-related technical issues throughout the development process.
- Stay updated on trends in gaming animation and visual effects to bring fresh ideas and techniques to projects.
- Participate in team reviews, providing feedback and making adjustments to maintain consistency and meet quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Digital Arts, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- 10 years of professional animation experience, including 5 years focused on game development.
- Familiarity with animation requirements for EGMs or casino gaming, with a focus on game interface and player engagement.
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation software such as 3D Studio Max and Maya.
- Basic familiarity with game engines such as Unity.
- Strong grasp of animation fundamentals, with a keen eye for detail in motion, timing, and artistic style.
- Experience working with visual effects or motion graphics relevant to gaming, such as particle effects, reels, or symbol animations.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $55,177/yr - $156,700/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
