This role sits at the core of the Platform engineering team and is responsible for building secure, scalable, and highly available container infrastructure that accelerates developer productivity and simplifies application delivery.

You will work across Platform, DevOps, and infrastructure domains to ensure seamless workload deployment, observability, and operational excellence, while mentoring team members and driving best practices in Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native operations.

🛠️ Key responsibilities include

•    Architect, deploy, and maintain secure and scalable Kubernetes platforms (EKS, OKD, self-hosted, or bare metal) with a focus on resilience and operational simplicity.
•    Automate infrastructure provisioning and platform operations using Terraform, Helm, Ansible, and GitOps workflows (Argo CD).
•    Design and operate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Argo Workflows, integrating quality and security checks using tools like SonarQube and Trivy.
•    Package and deploy stateless and stateful third-party applications (e.g., RabbitMQ, Redis, NGINX, API Gateway, Prometheus, Grafana) using Helm.
•    Build and maintain monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Wiz, and Trivy for platform health, security, and performance insights.
•    Drive networking and security design for Kubernetes, including CNI plugins (Calico, Flannel), Ingress, Load Balancers (MetalLB, ELB), and Kubernetes RBAC.
•    Enable self-service capabilities and developer-friendly abstractions to improve deployment speed and ease of use.
•    Lead incident response and root cause analysis for platform-related issues; participate in on-call rotation and implement self-healing patterns where applicable.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, integrate feedback, and deliver reliable platform capabilities.
•    Mentor engineers and promote a culture of operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement.

📚 Ideal candidate profile

•    7+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, or platform engineering roles, with a strong focus on Kubernetes in production.
•    Deep expertise in Kubernetes administration, architecture, and deployment in cloud and bare-metal environments.
•    Proven experience packaging and deploying stateless and stateful workloads in Kubernetes, including third-party applications like RabbitMQ, Redis, NGINX, and API Gateways.
•    Hands-on experience with AWS or other major cloud providers and managed Kubernetes services like EKS or GKE.
•    Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kustomize).
•    Experience with GitOps tools like Argo CD and building declarative infrastructure pipelines.
•    Solid understanding of Linux, container networking, load balancing, and storage systems (e.g., Ceph).
•    Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go for automation and tooling.
•    Familiarity with security scanning and compliance tooling (e.g., Trivy, Wiz).
•    Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills with a collaborative, team-first mindset.

⭐ Bonus points if you have

•    Experience with OpenShift or OKD.
•    Familiarity with Service Meshes (e.g., Istio).
•    Exposure to build tools and package managers (e.g., npm, Gradle, NuGet, pip).
